Education is the Equalizer

Education is the backbone of a successful society. However, with the continuous war in the South Sudan area, most regions have been affected significantly. Among the affected sectors is that of Education. With schools destroyed and teachers displaced, most children have remained vulnerable. GEPO seeks to bridge the gap in the education sector for the vulnerable children by offering them books and other learning materials. The organization also supports volunteer teaching staff to bridge the gap created by the displaced teachers. Despite our input, we still have challenges and seek for support of other interested parties to make these dreams a reality for these vulnerable children.

With physical infrastructure having been destroyed by wars, children are forced to take their lessons under trees while sitting on the ground. Such conditions are not conducive to learning due to harsh weather, including rain, intense sun, and wind, which frequently disrupt their studies. GEPO aims to provide proper facilities for learners, supply necessary educational materials, and cover other related costs, including books, blackboards, and meals, especially for those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
